QQP was established by Bruce Williams Zaccagnino and Mark Baldwin in the early 1990s. The company made its name by specialising in the publication of computer strategy/wargames, notably THE PERFECT GENERAL (Amiga) and EMPIRE DELUXE / EMPIRE II (PC). In 1994, QQP suffered financial difficulties and accepted a buyout proposed by American Laser Games who, in turn, struggled for solvency soon after, largely because of insufficient knowledge regarding the area of computer strategy/wargames and a lack of interest in providing greater financial support for new game concepts/ideas. Subsequently, QQP ceased as a subsidiary of American Laser Games upon closing its doors at the end of 1995.
