Notes

[1] Licensed game based on the Waddingtons/MPC Games boardgame of the 1980s UK TV quiz show "Pop Quiz". The TV show ran for 8 years and, in turn, was based on the pop quiz radio show hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Read.

[2] MIKE READ'S POP QUIZ is essentially a rehash of an earlier game released by Elite entitled A QUESTION OF SPORT. The graphics are the same except for a different colour scheme and Mike Read's digitised face. The same musical jingle is played in between rounds of questions also. The titlescreen and music are different, however.

TRIVIA: The digitised faces of quiz team members in the game belonged to Elite's software bosses and in-house coders.

Conversion Notes

8-bit (Spectrum, C64, Amstrad) and 16-bit (Amiga, Atari ST) versions were released simultaneously.
