Our-Type is an interesting example of the embryo of a late 80s blaster and the pitch to potential publishers. It was in the early stages but would demonstrate the graphical style and gameplay for a publisher if they wished to fund further development.
Its clear from the Sidewinder and R-Type references that the developers were influenced by popular games of the time. Publishers would have been interested in developers who could provide the type of games that had proved to be a success.
